Pavel Francouz - biography
One of the most remarkable Czech hockey goalies of the last decade made his first saves in his native Pilsen. After being on loan in minor competitions and in Ústí nad Labem, he ended up in Litvínov, where he acted as the main support and personality of the team which won its historic Extraliga title in 2015.
In the following three seasons he made his name in the KHL playing for Traktor Chelyabinsk. Focusing on his NHL dream, he refused lucrative offers from top Russian clubs and went on an uncertain adventure overseas. And it paid off. He’s been playing for the Colorado Avalanche since 2018.
